I like to pamper my friends and family sometimes so the other day I decided to do my mums nails for her and jazz them up a little. I bought a nail art glitter set the other week from Topshop which was only £2.50 (bargain) I thought I would share these with you, apologies for not having pictures at each stage.
First up I applied two coats of Barry M Gelly Lychee and left this to dry for around 30 minutes as I needed it to be completely dry.
Next I applied a clear polish diagonally across the tops of the nails, this is where I wanted the glitter to stick.
After sprinking the glitter over the nail and tapping off the excess I used my fingers to dab the excess glitter onto the nail and make sure it was all stuck down. Using a small make up brush to brush off the bits of glitter of the rest of the nail.
I then applied a top coat after letting the glitter set, just to make sure that it would stay on for longer.
It was quite fun and a little messy with glitter everywhere :) I think they look quite nice and will be trying out a few different designs, hopefully I will be able to get glitter polkadots. I thought the tube of glitter would be used up doing this but it hardly used any at all. What do you think?
