So today up in the north we saw the first real rays of sun in months, it was only around 15 degrees but with the snow we have been having recently that’s practically tropical! As soon as the sun came out there were smiling faces everywhere including mine. It feels like it has been winter for a full year.
To celebrate the sunshine I decided to do a spot of lunchtime shopping, off I popped to Boots on my lunch to find a few little treats. I mean what with the sunshine making an appearance surely I need a new spring/summer make-up selection (well that’s what I told myself anyway) But not content with my trip to Boots I also decided to do some online shopping. Today has been a productive day :)
Into Boots I go and head straight to the Benefit counter to see what goodies they have in store. I picked up the Fake Up Hydrating Concealer, which I am very excited to try out as concealers usually go a little cakey on my skin as the areas I tend to need to use a concealer on are a little dry. The lady assured me this is the latest in hydrating technology and that no other product out at the moment uses this blend of both concealer and hydrator. So look out for a review in the next few weeks. Also the product claims to hide dark circles and reduce the appearance of fine lines. I may not have fine lines just yet but prevention is always easier than the cure as they say. I am quite excited to test the claim that it hides dark under eye circles as I haven’t managed to find a product that does as yet. I recently tried Soap & Glory’s Trick or Treat concealer for dark eyes and was quite disappointed which is a shame as I usually adore their products. So I am hoping for the best with this one.
With any benefit purchase at the moment you get a free sample of Triple Performing Facial Emulsion.
I then skipped back to work feeling very excited about my new purchase but knowing it wasn’t enough to satisfy my shopping needs. I logged on to fragrance direct and had a browse. They are currently selling the Dainty Dolls range for around 75% less than the RRP. As I am quite fair skinned I have noticed this line around before but never bought anything, but with items from as little as 99p who am I to turn away a bargain. Also there is a voucher code for 5% off on any purchases (enter code VC5). I am quite excited to try these out once they arrive. I was a little disappointed as all the lipsticks had sold out, it seems the products are selling fast so hop over there before there’s none left. I will let you all know how they do once I have put them through their paces.
Does anyone else feel the need to shop when the sun first makes an appearance ? I feel like I need new everything, which is a bit over the top as the sun only stays for a few weeks in the UK.
