Hello lovelies. I hope you are all as happy as I am on this gloriously sunny day? What has made you so happy I hear you say (well I don’t but a girl can pretend huh. I have been hanging around vintage shops this evening, I don’t know what it is but they make me all smiley, as soon as I set foot in one I’m transported back to been a child playing dress up.
I am not usually one for rifling through racks and boxes in shops, but put me in a vintage shop and I can root around for hours. Unfortunately I didn’t get much time today as the shop was closing. Boo hiss. I did, however, have enough time to find two beautiful scarves and a brooch and all for under £10.
Theres a thing I have for old scarves and have quite a few boxes full, last year I had a 50s Channel Islands scarf tied to my handbag, it was my favourite, and it fell off and became lost forever. Since then I have been hunting for a similar one, which has resulted in me having a rather large collection as I always have to buy one on my look outs.
Very excited to wear these lovelies, 60s washer woman style, on my lazy Sundays.
I also bought a pretty little swallow brooch, it needs a bit of a clean up as its not as sparkly as I know it can be, so I will be spending my evening nursing my little birdie brooch back to health.
