As well as a foundation addiction I have a slight mascara one too (oh & an eyeliner one). I was doing a little online shopping at Boots, filling my basket with lots of pretties when I stumbled across the new release from Seventeen, they have really stepped up their game lately – they were never this good when I was a kid & they started out. Well anyway, after seeing the Seventeen SUPERlash (£6.99) with £2 off, on a 3 for 2 offer & along with a freebie eyeliner I knew I had to have it. It would have been stupid of me not to. As I have said before, no one likes a stupid bargain missing beauty blogger.
What that lovely lot over at Seventeen say about SUPERlash – SUPERlash mascara contains hollow shaped micro fibres which adhere much better to the Lashes, giving extended length to your natural lashes. The fibres are lightweight with a feather like texture so the eyelashes do not feel too heavy or weighed down when the mascara is applied. The open structure of the fibre brush enables the mascara to be loaded easily. The evenly spaced fibres of the brush allow perfect separation & definition, by grabbing the lashes from root to tip, resulting in a super volumising effect! Lashes look longer & thicker from root to tip, volumised and more impactful. Lashes look longer & thicker for instant OH WOW…. KAPOW!!
I love the packaging of this; it is really eye catching, very Pop Art & Super Hero style. I am a sucker for anything a little different that stands out, so it was inevitable I would be drawn to this & popping it in my virtual basket faster than a Super Hero costume change. Thankfully for me the brush is a thin one (I am not a fan of the thicker style brushes). As the formula contains micro fibres I was expecting this to leave tiny little bits stuck at the end of my lashes and look slightly clumpy but I was pleasantly surprised that it did neither. The formula is like regular mascara on the whole, not too thick & clumpy, & it was easy to apply to my lashes.
One coat left my lashes looking more volumised & slightly longer, but two coats worked a charm & left my lashes looking fuller & longer – not 93% longer though that’s for sure. This lasted well throughout the day, it held a curl well & there was none of that dreaded clump shedding as the day wore on. I am actually pretty impressed with this on the whole & for £6.99 it is quite the little bargain. Seventeen really are coming out with some great releases & I am excited to see what’s next.
