Summer is one of my favourite times of year for body product releases as the scents are always light, fresh and so wearable. The Ted Baker Summer Sets are leading the way at the moment in terms of body products I am reaching for in and out of the shower (sorry Lush) and their latest Ted Baker Summer Sets releases have a firm spot in my bathroom & on my perfume shelf. The Ted Baker Floral Fragrance Set (£14.99 exclusive to The Perfume Shop)* is also available in the mens version which would be perfect for Fathers Day coming up later this month. The beautifully packaged set contains a body wash, body lotion and a 30ml bottle of perfume which smells so fresh and with a subtle floral mix. With a mix of Ylang Ylang, Lily of the Valley & Rose it reads like it would be quite the florally or overpowering scent but it’s surprisingly light and longwearing, especially when used with the body wash & lotion as it helps the scent to stay in place that little bit longer. The lotion & wash are a little less fragrant, which is generally the case, but when used together and layered with the perfume it leaves a summery fragrance on the skin all day.
Next up is my favourite scent from the Ted Baker Summer Sets, and possibly my favourite from them to date; the Mint Collection from the Sugar Sweet additions to the line-up for summer. For a start can we all just take a moment to appreciate the gorgeous packaging? The gift sets of these are even prettier. The packaging of the Mint Body Lotion (£8.00 250ml available at Boots)* is stunning and I can see me leaving it on my shelves even after it’s all gone due to how darn pretty it is. The products have a distinctly fruity mint yet slightly floral scent that has notes of violet, sweet vanilla and amber and the lotion leaves skin feeling so soft and smelling gorgeous (if I do say so myself). The body wash (£8.00 200ml available at Boots)* is slightly less ‘foaming’ than I am used to (I was using Lush Prince Charming prior to this), but it leaves the skin feeling clean and fresh whilst leaving behind a faint scent. These are perfect scents for summer and perfect gift sets for anyone lucky enough to have a summer birthday, my birthday is in December so I am just going to have to treat myself now as an early birthday present right? I need to get my hands on the Fruity Floral Mint scent to complete my little minty collection & also my Ted Baker Summer Sets collection.
