It’s not often I have guest posters on my blog but this week I am in London for 2 days then staying with a friend from Thursday to Sunday – a friend who doesn’t know I blog might I add. I asked on Twitter if anyone would love to help me out with a post for this week and the gorgeous Rosie said yes, which made me so happy as I love reading her posts and her blog is always one I love seeing in my Bloglovin feed. So over to Rosie, also don’t forget to check her blog out, stalk her on Twitter and also browse her Instagram.
It’s recently been brought to my attention that a brow tint is the single most important thing to check off your pre-holiday to do list. Never before had I jetted off to sunnier climes with my eyebrows safely semi-permanently tinted in place, but this year I did (more out of routine brow maintenance than specific holiday prep) and I won’t ever look back.
An eyebrow tint will keep your brow game on point all week long without even a second thought. Don’t worry about jumping in the pool and climbing out sans eyebrows. Bit hot and sweaty? A tint isn’t going to melt down your face like a brow gel would (I’m lookin’ at you Sleek Brow Perfector Gel!) And who wants to spend time laboriously plucking and combing and filling in their eyebrows in front of the mirror every morning when you could be lazing on a beach?
Of course, I’ve had my eyebrows tinted before. I’d just never fully appreciated it until now. Sure, it saves a bit of time in the mornings, but it’s not until you can sweat out on a lounger all day, go snorkelling, and slather SPF all over your face and STILL have brows to envy Cara, that you realise just what a wonderful thing a brow tint is. I mean look at my brows perfectly intact after doing an under-water handstand. Please ignore the rest of my face, but – my brows!
I had mine done the day before I flew, at my all-time favourite local beauty salon in Hove. It’s called The Beauty Shed, and if you read my blog you may just have heard of it – look how many posts I’ve done on the place! I do love it in there. Anyway, for just a tenner I had my brows shaped, tidied and tinted, and from that moment on I could forget about the bloody things for the entire holiday. (Except, I didn’t forget about them, because I kept admiring them in the mirror, but y’know…)
So before you go off on your summer holiday, book yourself in for a brow tint. You can thank me later.
What are your must-have treatments before you go away on holiday? Let me know on twitter or something, I’m @evrythngsrosiex
