order generic tadalafil A few months ago I was on Twitter chatting with some lovely bloggers about the lack of Cosmo awards this year, and that they hadn’t being replying to anyone’s queries about it, within a few minutes I was like ‘Yeah, I will do one – who needs them anyways’. A few days later the Bloggers Blog Awards (in Association with Talented Talkers – #BloggersBlogAwards) was born and I had 502342 new spreadsheets set up to organise it all – I love a good spreadsheet, especially colour coded ones. I had thought about setting up a awards the previous year, one where it goes on voting numbers and not some invisible panel of ‘experts’ judging blogs and deciding who will be a worthy winner.
I set about getting everything ready, setting a nominations form up and rallying some fellow bloggers to help. I decided to have a shortlist of 5 in each category, 4 being from the most votes and 1 being from a panel pick of actual expert judges…. Bloggers. These guys know what goes into blogging, how hard it is and that that simple looking post might actually have taken days to put together. I never in a gazillion years (yeah that’s a thing) thought that it would be popular within the community, so popular that I decided to organise an official ceremony for the awards. The first round of voting ended up generating 490 responses over the course of the weeks it was live, but nothing quite prepared me for Monday and announcing the shortlist Pssttt you can vote by clicking here.
Oh my word my Twitter went crazy. Within seconds of announcing the first round of shortlisted bloggers my notifications were through the roof, with people congratulating the bloggers, showing support, thanking me, just general love and support for everything. Once all the nominations were out and the voting page went live all the madness started again… Over 100 people on my blog voting, over 100 votes cast within less than an hour of it going live, trending in London and in the US (sorry, I am not sure which state), 500 votes cast within hours, 700 votes cast in 24 hours and currently nearly 800 votes have been cast since it went live on Monday afternoon. At one point a Twitter cloud (no, I don’t know either) said that the # had potentially been seen by 10 million people, it had had 1900 mentions by over 500 users. ABSOLUTE CRAZINESS. I had so many lovely tweets and as I had had a pretty shit week leading up to this all the love, niceness and support had me tearing up at my desk whilst eating my egg mayo sandwich. I have totally blown my cold hearted persona now huh?
Not only have you readers and fellow bloggers being amazing, but so have the brands I have contacted to be sponsors; they have put up some amazing prizes for the winners and I cannot thank them enough. The venue have let me run wild there for a few hours so thank you to Lamberts Yard too as well as StressFreePrint, and to all the other beautiful brands supporting the day (there will be oodles of posts on this once the event has been and gone).
Now if all this wasn’t enough, I was shortlisted for Best Long Standing Beauty Blog too, which is crazy and I think you’re all drunk if you voted for me. Thank you so much if you voted for me, reading the reasons why you voted for me have kept me going over the last week or so when I was on the verge of quitting blogging. Now I am going to stop rambling because I am nearly tearing up again. I just want to say one last thing…
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SUPPORT YOU HAVE SHOWN THE AWARDS, IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME <3
