Each year me and my mum make beauty hampers up for each other as gifts – so basically an oversized beauty stocking filler. We tend to include 1 or 2 expensive or sentimental gifts and then the rest are just little beauty buys we think the other will love. As I mentioned in my other 2 gift guides this week I wanted to include things that are relevant to me or that I would like to receive – so here are my beauty picks.
It wouldn’t be a gift guide without some bargain palettes from Makeup Revolution, right? The newly released Makeup Revolution Salted Caramel Palette (£7.99)* is not only a quirky palette packed full of beautiful (wearable) shades, but it also smells YUMMY. This is the sister palette to the I Heart Chocolate Palette which is still one of my faves – I wrote about it in my Makeup Revolution Palettes You Need post. I love the mix of traditional neutrals that are brought to life with the mix of a few muted yet shimmery blues and greens, plus the inclusion of a sweet fizzing baby pink shade that is packed full of glimmer and shimmer. Do you, or the person you’re gifting really need another palette of neutrals? YES – especially when it’s this cute.
‘tis the season to be tanned, fa la la la laaa, la la la la. If you have a tan lover in your life then the Cocoa Brown tans (£5.99)* are a great little gift (especially as they are loved by Kylie Jennar). The product comes in a both a shimmer and matte version, and as with all Cocoa Brown products it applies beautifully and gives a stunning bronzed (not orange) shade.
The Balance Me Christmas Gifts this year are sooo cute and I love this little Heavenly Hands Duo (£10.00)*. The set comes beautifully packaged and contains 2 30ml hand creams, the award winning Rose Otto and the Super Moisturising Hand Cream. Paired with the Kure Bazaar Nail Polish from MyShowcase (£15.00)* it’s such a lovely little set to give someone who is into their nails and DIY manicures.
A couple of cute little treats come in shape of a handbag friendly pop of blushing colour from Bagsy (£11.20)*. The products from Bagsy are all designed to be handbag friendly and not take up lots of space for on the go touch ups. I have used these in the past before and they are so handy and give such a beautiful flush to the skin. Teamed with the Lanolips Apple Lip Balm (£7.99)* it’s such a cute beauty treat. I have the Lemon Aid Balm from Lanolips and I cannot be without it, I actually have 2 – one for my desk and one in my hanbag, that’s how good they are.
Finally a skincare lovers perfect gift would be the Ole Henriksen Three Little Wonders Minis Set (£14.40). The set contains a mini truth serum collagen booster, invigorating night cream, and sheer transformation cream. I am actually using the night and transformation creams and love them – they feel so light on the skin. I know I will be popping this, or another Ole set in my mums beauty hamper this year.
Which one would you love to receive in your stocking this year?
