I hope to try more beauty brands this year, and branch out from my same old safe bets, in the hope that I will find some little gems and discover Holy Grail products. One of the first brands on my list to put to the test is Accessorize; I have tried a few of their products in the past from Christmas Gift sets, but it was quite some time ago and I think it was a nail polish. After browsing the Accessorize Beauty Products online I have rounded up a few of the stand outs for me, and items I want to pop in to store to swatch and check out the formula.
First up is the Boho Gem Pocket Makeup Set (£6.00), because first of all how cute does it look and secondly HOW CUTE? Not to mention it’s only £6.00 for 3 eyeshadows, 3 lip colours and a mini applicator. As it is coming up to Spring soon I need to crack out the illuminating primers again to give my skin a dewy look; the Lightweight Illuminating Primer (£9.00) contains vitamin E to help nourish the skin and anything that can promise to make me look glowy and keep my makeup in place is worth a try.
Bright purple lips are not something I have really tried on myself before, but you only live once, right? And it would be rude not to try a Chubby Lips Lipstick when it’s in the sale at £1.00 – any excuse. I think I may be a little too old to pull this off, but I can wear it round the house on Sundays when I am cleaning so I feel SASSY. You can never have too many nail polishes, and greys are some of my favourite shades so this Nail Polish in Petrol (£5.00) would make a lovely addition to my collection, plus the packaging is gorgeous.
As someone with quite bad natural brows I have an abundance of brow products; gels, pomades, powders the lot, yet I always want to try brow products from brands so the Tame Me Eyebrow Shaper Kit (£7.00) was certainly always going to make it on to my list. This comes with 3 shades to mix and match and find your perfect combination plus a little tube of eyebrow gel to keep your brows in place.
The final 2 products are things I wouldn’t usually buy. I am not a huge fan of lip glosses as my lips are big and my hair is long, plus I live in the windy North so it’s never a good mix. However the Light Me Up Lip Gloss in Berry (£6.00) swayed me due to the rich berry colour and the tube has a light on – A LIGHT!!!. Finally the Hide and Conceal Me Kit (£7.00) seems to have a good mix of 2 shades in to help combat dark under eye circles and also appears to be pretty pale compared to some other high street brands.
The main thing that draws me in to Accessorize Beauty is the pretty packaging, I am not usually one for overly girly items but these are just too darn cute to resist. Have you tried anything from the range before? What do I need to add to my list?
