Spring is just around the corner (hurrah) and with the new season comes lots of new makeup, offers and the holy grail of makeup shopping – the gift with purchase. I am an easy target when it comes to a prettily packaged little gift
‘So, if I buy these lipsticks I get a present you say? SIGN ME UP AND GIMME IT ALL’
The latest GWP, and prettiest I have to say, is the Estee Lauder Gift with Purchase from Debenhams*, which includes the brightest and cutest makeup bag packed with skincare and beauty miniatures to give you the perfect spring look. In order to claim your pretty gift you need to purchase 2 Estee Lauder items between 18th February and 13th March, and your purchase must include one skincare item or a foundation. Also, if you pop 3 items in to your shopping bag you get ANOTHER gift; a 30ml Illuminating Perfecting primer. May I take this time to remind you all that Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and what mum wouldn’t love ALL THE ESTEE LAUDER?! Here is what you get in your cute little set:
A sample bottle of Double Wear Foundation is in included, and to make sure it’s in the right shade for you it’s empty in order for you to take it to a counter to be matched and the bottle filled. Such a clever idea. To make sure your perfect match skin shade has a beautiful base to apply to, they have also included a 7ml sample of the Advanced Night Repair Synchronised Recovery Complex II (£11.50 for 7mls), I have used this a couple of times this week and have to say that a little truly does go a long way and leaves your skin feeling so supple on a morning. I love to see matching skincare products so was so pleased to see the GWP also includes a lovely pot of the Advanced Night Repair Eye Gel Crème (£13.30 for 5ml).
The final two skincare products included are Estee Lauder staples; a 30ml sample of the Take it Away Makeup Remove Lotion (worth £3.50), which I can confirm is beautiful to use. I have being using this on an evening in place of my micellar water and the soft cream, yet somehow gel, formula just slides through my makeup. It leaves my skin feeling so beautifully soft and like I don’t even have to cleanse again (but I do, because I wear a thick makeup base). I will certainly be purchasing the full size of this and using it on a morning as the fresh citrus scent is great at waking me up. Last but least to keep your skin in check is the Estee Lauder Day Wear Moisturiser with SPF 25 (15ml worth £12.60). I love that this has a high SPF in, as it makes it perfect for Spring Summer and despite the high SPF it doesn’t leave skin feeling greasy or ‘heavy’.
Now on the pretty Spring/Summer makeup items *drools*. Now these two beauties I have not had chance to try as yet, but they do look like such good picks for when the sunshine makes an appearance. I have a gorgeous fuchsia pink Pure Colour Nail Lacquer (5ml equals around £8.30) and matching Pure Colour Envy Sculpting Shine Lipstick in Windy Pink which, by the way, is FULL SIZE (£25.00). These are such pretty colours and I can’t wait for the weekend to rock my new lippie.
To house all your pretty new beauties you also get a sea blue and fuchsia pink makeup bag that is absolutely stunning and will be perfect for holiday packing – should I actually get a holiday this year. All in all the contents of the bag are worth over £75 (I didn’t include the foundation sample in this, as you can get them free at counters anyway), which to me seems like great value for a freebie, plus a great way to try out a lot of items in one go. PPSSSTTTTT – If you were on Twitter last night too you may have seen the debate regarding the spooky looking figure on the lid of the brown pot (to the left of the red line)… Ghostly child or brush reflection?!
Will you be picking this GWP up? If so is a mummy treat or a from me to me treat? I would be picking up the Double Wear foundation and matching concealer to bag my GWP.
