My name is Hayley and I have a slight (OK, MASSIVE) addiction to buying homewares solely for the purpose of using them as blog props. And this addiction is set to get a whole lot worse after discovering the cuteness and versatility of the Sass & Belle store – someone hold me back, this could get messy.
Sass & Belle has become a new obsession to browse as it’s always fun to look at items in a different way and see how they would work in blog pictures as I have being doing recently, namely with a light shade, chopping board, tea server and side plate.
I recently picked up the bits in these pics as a way to add something new to my blog photos, and as usual I don’t always go for the most logical piece, namely a copper light shade (£10.00)*. Yup, I am currently using a copper light shade as a blog prop. I LOVE IT. It’s big enough to put things inside for a copper caged look, yet not overpowering so that it takes away from the products being used. It’s always fun to look at items in a different way and see how they would work in blog pictures as I have being doing recently, namely with a light shade, chopping board, tea server and side plate.
Next on my list was the cute little confidence giving plate – the Oh You Pretty Thing Dish (£5.00)* is perfect for Instagram flat lays and adding a little something colourful to my usual monochrome style. And by colourful I mean it has a hint of pink in it that is an acceptable amount to my black and white obsession. Finally I fell in love the cutest white Ampersand light up letter (£13.00)* and it HAD to be mine right away. I love the tiny bit of depth and something extra it adds to the background of pictures, and can’t wait to see how it photographs lit up (I didn’t have the correct size batteries for it).
I totally expected the copper light shade to be my fave of the bunch, but it’s certainly the & light that has stolen my heart forevs.
If you’re interested in getting your hands on some cute homeware items I have a code for £10 off a £40 spend – just enter teaparty at the checkout for nab £10 off (valid until 31st July 2016) Which is your fave from the bunch?
