OK so this post was meant to go live before Christmas, but with everything that’s been going on lately for me, I forgot to schedule it correctly. So I’m being resourceful and re-branding it as a what to snag in the sales… And yes, I know I’m a little late to that too. This time of year is great for grabbing a bargain, yet checking every site can be laborious and time consuming… When that time could be spent eating more mince pies, amirite? There’s a great site called Love The Sales which takes the leg work out of sales shopping, if like me your lazy. Usually sites like this focus on just one niche, like fashion or electrical, but this one has it all. From beauty to fashion to homewares. It works by searching all the best deals out there and compiling them all in one place. So, you can check out ladies shoes and be given a list of all the current shoes from top brands in the sale. Warning, this site can be dangerous and make you spend all your pennies haha. Along with Love The Sales here are some other goodies currently at bargain prices.
MARKS & SPENCER
I love Marks and Sparks for beauty buys, and especially so when it comes to the sales. There are still some great buys to be had too, as I have been having a browse this morning. There’s plenty of Stila, Autograph, Twiggy & Pixi left. The above items were available just before Christmas so I am sure there’ll be some in the sale for you to look out for.
You can never go wrong with Urban Decay, and I mean NEVER. The Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Palettes were originally exclusive to Selfridges in the UK, but I believe they can now also be bagged on House of Fraser. I don’t even need to big these up or try to ‘sell’ them to you, cos the prettiness of them should do that. I have a few of the comfort matte shades in traditional bullet format, however I couldn’t get hold of Junkie, which is the one I most wanted, so I am happy it’s included in the Junkie palette.
Next up is a kinda cult classic. We all know, and love, the eye primers from UD. The new one is especially good and something you should throw some cash at, as each one sold helps to empower women. The Urban Decay primer Potion in Enigma is the known formula offering long lasting shadow wear, but also in a neutral matte shade this time round. Not only should limited edition have you foaming at the mouth to buy it, but the fact that it helps to support homeless women in the UK. 100% of the proceeds from each sale will go to Crisis to help fund the Women’s Zone.
So I haven’t been able to find the adorable Lottie London Get the Look #Selfie palette on sale anywhere, however I thought I would still include it as LOOK AT IT. Plus, it’s only £11.99 so won’t really break the sale spending bank. You can grab it for £11.99 at Superdrug, or £12.00 from ASOS. I would recommend grabbing it from ASOS as you can combine shipping costs and throw the (actually on sale) Limited Edition Best of Brushes Collection (£22.00) in your basket too. These are down from £28.00 to £22.00 which works out at £4.40 a brush, and considering the quality, and look, of these are amazing then it’s a nice little bargain.
Tweezerman are basically the only tweezers and lash curlers I use now, and for a good reason – they are the best. I’ve had some pairs years and they have never failed me, so if you’re on the lookout for some fancy new tools to treat yoself to, then go forth and buy. You can be fancy af with the Rose Gold Slant Tweezers, or up the ante even more with the Rose Gold Set. The set includes the tweezers and some lash curlers along with a matching vanity bag. Seriously, the rose gold curlers are my absolute faves, and when I lost mine on holiday I threw a right strop for days haha.
