FOR THE OFFICE
I hate using my hella expensive perfumes for work, I ain’t paying £100 to fragrance the office. I much prefer using body mists and sprays, as they’re generally cheaper, lighter smelling and small enough to throw in my handbag if I need a top up. Recently I have been using the ixxi Fragrant Waters and throwing them in my work handbag for work. The ixxi Fragrant Waters cost €20.40 for 30ml* and for a body spray they last incredibly well, so much so that unless I am nipping somewhere after work then I don’t really need a top up spritz.
There’s currently 3 variations on the water available; Or des Sables, which is a very late summer beach scent – so lots of vanilla, freshness and warmth. Then there’s my most favourite, Tonnelle Gourmande, which isn’t pictured here as it was in my desk drawer at work when I took these pics, see you can tell it’s a firm fave. Tonnelle Gourmande is a rich fruity scent that is perfect for summer, as it’s a very perky and bright scent, but with a hint of warmth so it doesn’t appear juvenile or too much. Then finally in the collection is Balade Acidulee, which isn’t to my taste so I haven’t used too much of it (hence it being the one pictured). It says the fragrance is like a summertime stroll through the forest, which I agree with, so if that’s your kind of scent this will be perfect for you, but to me it’s too green smelling – I know that makes no sense at all. There’s a scent in the collection for everyone whether that’s sweet, fresh or fruity.
The Karen Walker Runaway scent is the perfect date night perfume… OK, who am I kidding, I am perpetually single and the closest thing to date night for me is watching Netflix with a bottle of Prosecco and watching Percy chase his own tail. However, if you do manager to bag yourself a gorgeous date, or can grab your coupled up friends for a night on the town, then Runaway (£80 for 60ml)* is the fragrance for it. With a mix of woody and spicy scents it makes you feel ‘grown up’, sexy and sophisticated.
It’s a mix between a sophisticated men’s fragrance and an alluring women’s perfume, which to me is the perfect mix as I love the mixing of masculine and feminine when it comes to perfume. Much in the same vein as Chanel No5 you only need a couple of spritzes to give you a beautiful long lasting scent that will certainly last through date night or a night on the town with the girls. Also can we just take a moment to appreciate how stunning yet simple the bottle is? This has had pride of place on my dresser for a while now as it’s so eye catching.
Top Notes – Lemon, Black Pepper, Cardamom, Cinnamon Leaf

LUNCHING WITH THE GIRLS
The Viktor & Rolf perfumes are some of my all-time favourites, with BonBon been right up at the top – more specifically Bon Bon Couture. So lucky for me they have released a spring summer version this season: Viktor & Rolf BonBon Spring Summer eu de Toilette (£58 for 50ml)*. Following the traditional BonBon bottle it’s shaped like a bow, but has a light pink fade out and a soft matte finish. This is a limited edition version so I suggest you run out and snap it up before the end of summer. It’s a little sweeter and fruiter than the original with notes of mandarin and pink grapefruit, and plenty of my favourite citrus bursts. It’s such a light fragrance that screams summer to you, so it’s perfect for those lazy afternoons in a wine bar garden, or having a few mimosas whilst brunching.
Top Notes – Grapefruit, Tangerine, Orange, Blackcurrant
Middle Notes – Icing Sugar Accord, Orange Blossom Absolute, Sambac Jasmine Absolute, Peach Accord
Base Notes – Guaiac Wood, Cedarwood, Caramel Accord
