Ihave decided to try out a new weekly post over her on my blog, first off because I love reading these style of posts and secondly as a way to give myself a kick up the backside to get stuff done. You may remember my post detailing where I have been recently, and in that I explain that although I am hella busy, I am also just been lazy bish. So this Monday morning posting ritual is going to be my way of publically committing to doing things, let’s call it self-shaming to get off my arse. I’ll also be sharing the things I am looking forward to, dreading or what have ya. So, without more jibber jabber from me, here’s my 5 things for this week:
I go camping this week and should really have completed all my packing on Sunday as I planned to, instead I rearranged my candles, sorted my towels out, watched some YouTube and generally did everything possible to avoid packing. So far I have packed a pair of trainers, a travel hairdryer and a t-shirt. Much packing, many items. WOW.
It’s not like I have much to pack as it’s only a few days, but we are travelling light which means I have to really think about what I am taking and not just throw everything in there.
Whilst I have been away from blogging I have been very unproductive & have taken only 2 sets of blogging pictures, which means I have 2 large black bin bags full of samples to take pictures of. I took the 2 sets of pictures around 3 weeks ago and only got round to editing them late last week, I think I was scared as I am trying to change up my picture style and it’s all a little new to me.
I need to get some pics taken for upcoming posts I have scheduled in, and not put them off like I have been doing the last few weeks, I also need to stop worrying about pic style.
SAYING BYE TO PERCY
OK that sounds very dramatic but don’t worry I am not giving him up or sending him to a rescue – although when he’s biting my feet at 3am of a morning I’d sure like to. I’ll just be saying goodbye to him for a few days whilst I am in France. Which is bad enough as it breaks my heart saying bye to him at all.
Percy is an indoor cat and the only one I have, so he’s quite needy and a little spoilt (OK a lot), and he’s used to having me around and pandering to his every whim. When I first got him and went away he would go to my aunts which he loved, but they have a rescue cat now so Percy can no longer go there. Last time I sent him to a cattery but it was around a 25 minute drive away and he hates been in the car (he pooped in his carrier to show his displeasure at me forcing such an adventure on him). I don’t think he liked the cattery much anyway, as he came back even needier than before. This time round he’s going to stay with a cat sitter in their house, so hopefully it’ll be like a little mini holiday for him and he’ll have someone there pottering around so he’ll be less lonely than in a cattery. A bonus is this house is 10 minutes from me, so he won’t get too stressed in the car either. I hope.
I still need to pack all his things for his holiday, and say the heart breaking goodbye to him. This is not a fun one of my 5 Things and if I could skip it and take him along to France with me I would.
I really need to get my arse in gear regarding the raffle for the #BloggersBlogAwards this week, as we are seriously short on prizes and my email game is lacking. I am not sure if I am been too hard on myself regarding the prizes, or if I am just missing that 1 big star prize to get everyone excited. Who knows, but I need to get on it before it’s too late and the awards are here.
If you have any suggestions of brands you think would like to be involved (not just beauty ones), please drop me a DM or email, cos a sister is desperate out here.
GOING TO FRANCE
Last but not least I go to France on Friday, this is like my 4th trip there in a year and it just never gets old. I’m off camping again, but this time with Katie & Sophie, who are both bloggers so it should be fun – and very prosecco-y. You might remember I went camping to France earlier this year and there were a few hiccups, so I am hoping this time is a little more settled.
Hopefully I should have a fully working phone before we go so I can update my insta stories – my phone died last week (RIP iPhone 6, you’re missed)
