Iam a little late to the podcast game, mainly because I don’t have a commute to work so I miss out on the whole commute podcast/book reading. However lately I have found myself listening to them as I am pottering around the house, in work and whilst blogging. I have mostly been listening to True Crime podcasts, as I have a morbid fascination with all things macabre and gruesome. But recently I wanted to make use of my podcast time and see if I could find podcasts that would help me on my blogging journey; I asked on twitter for some recommendations and there were virtually none. A lot of people did ask me to share any recommendations I got though, so after a lot of sifting through iTunes and a whole lot of wading through a sea of ‘meh’ podcasts on blogging I have found some absolute gems.
Although I have found some gems I also found that a lot of the podcasts were aimed at more American bloggers or bloggers who offer courses. So as much as they were interesting to listen to a lot of the tps and skills just wouldn’t apply to me as a UK blogger who isn’t trying to sell a blog course. There’s a mix in my top 5, ones that offer advice and ones that just chat all things digital with their guests. Over the last few days I have binged several episodes of these podcasts and will continue to binge their whole back catalogue of the next few weeks.
Hashtag Authentic
Sara from Me & Orla is an Instagram goddess and if she doesn’t know it it’s not worth knowing when it comes to the grid. I attended a talk by Sara earlier this year and found it really helpful, so her podcast was my first port of call for some blogging knowledge and tips on the insta life. I find her simple way of thinking about Instagram easy to follow and even easier to apply, and I can’t wait to put some of her tips into action. She also has guest speakers on so you’re getting more than just her point of view and tips on things.

Made Online
Run by Hayley from London Beauty Queen this podcast discusses what it says on the tin; people who were made online. Hayley interviews a different guest each week that has found success online, although this isn’t just bloggers they make up a large chunk of the podcasts available so far. It’s inspiring to hear other people’s stories about how they’ve made it and what they deem to be successful. I got so into the stories of others I binged 5 of the episodes in one night alone. This isn’t so much a tips and tricks podcast, but it’s certainly one you can take away a lot of info from and try to apply it to your own blog.

What She Said
Lucy from Wanderluce chats with a guest each week on all things of a particular topic related to blogging. I have found these so interesting, especially the ones from the 2 local Leeds girls; Beverley & Sophie. This podcast seems more like you’re listening to two friends talk blogging strategy in a coffee shop than they do a proper sit down interview, and I like that. Lucy draws you in with her friendly manner and

Blogging Your Passion
This is a podcast filled with 119 episodes (and counting) of quick snappy take away tips for blogging. With everything from SEO, blogging tools, finding your target audience and blog courses. Although the blog courses part isn’t really for me (yet, maybe one day I will venture into it) I still find them interesting to listen to, mainly because they 10-20 minutes long and I don’t get bored.
