I am self-confessed non-fan of coats… There, I said it. Although I am trying to change my ways, I promise. Each year I drool over the beautiful coats on offer for the winter season and I just struggle to pick one – so I end up wearing a thin jacket and nearly freezing over whilst I am outside. There’re just too many styles to pick from and I think it kind of boggled my mind. I vow to change this aversion to coats every year, and this year is no different except for the fact I really do vow to change it. It’s so cold this year, or maybe it just seems that way after the 2 weeks of heat in the summer. But, yes I really need to get my thinking hat on for a suitable coat as my poor body can’t take much more shivering. I want something fluffy but not too OTT, and something that can look both casual and smart(ish).
I have been looking high and low and have found a great selection of stylish women’s and men’s parka coats from Bellfield online. I think a Parka is the way for me to go as they can be a little casual and also still look good for work. It’s the fluffiness of the hoods that has me sold, as it would really keep my face from the elements. I am all about the duster coats usually as I find that they’re mostly enough to keep me warm but also lightweight enough so that I don’t overheat. However my search has mostly been centered Parkas cos like I said, it’s bloody cold outside at the moment and they’re fluffy and warm… I still can’t resist a duster though, as you can tell from the wishlist.
I adore the Bikin Parka, mainly for the deep wine colour that’ll match winter lipsticks shades perfectly. Plus you can’t go wrong with the leather detailing on the shoulder that make it look a lot more expensive than £56.00. There may not be a fluffy fur hood on this one, but there’s plenty of beautiful snug looking lining which will keep me warm whilst I am waiting outside or walking the new French Bulldog my mum is getting. The Vennet Coat is my duster obsession which I can’t shake, but that’s OK as it’s only £35.00 – I am trying to convince myself that it’ll be enough to keep me warm if I get a really big scarf, but in my head I know it won’t be anywhere as warm as a cosy Parka. There’s also quite a few other coats I have my eye on on the site, especially the rich wine embroidered green parka with giant fluffy hood in the same wine colour. It just looks so snug and the perfect 2018 trend colour for both this winter and the one we’ll no doubt get in October this year too.
I guess I could treat myself to the wine coloured Parka and the duster coat, along with some pretty new boots, well once payday rolls around anyways.
